Specialty & Wellness are comprised of wellness practitioners who have selected a specialization. Licensed Acupuncturist consists of licensed acupuncturists who provide treatments for any conditions. Dr. Guo received her master’s and doctoral degrees from Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, majoring in Clinical Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine. In 2003, she obtained her practicing certificate in Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine in China and then practiced as a physician in Wuhan for nearly 20 years. She served as the Director of the Clinical Department for 12 years in China. Dr. Guo has published 20 professional articles and 4 academic monographs. In 2011, she was awarded an honorary certificate recognizing her as a Technical Expert by the Wuhan Municipal Government. In 2024, she obtained her acupuncture license in Texas, USA. In 2025, she joined the American Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Association as an instructor.

Dr. Leong is a Licensed Acupuncturist certified by the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners and is designated as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. His training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is from the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, earning the degree of Master in Oriental Medicine and the advanced level Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He received additional training in Nutrition and Dietetics at the NY Presbyterian Hospital, Weill-Cornell Center in New York City. He currently serves as a full-time faculty member at ACAOM.

Dr. Lai received her Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Degree at American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) in 2010 and her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine specializing in Internal Medicine in 2015 at Five Branches University in San Jose, California.
She completed 140 hours of a clinical internship program of Acupuncture, TCM internal medicine, TCM gynecology and TCM pediatrics in 2011 at a Affiliated Hospital to Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Zhejiang, China.
She has had classes with Professor Yang Wei-Jei for Tung’s Acupuncture, Professor Hao Wan Shan for Shang Han Lun, Professor Huang Huang for Jing Fong for Traditional Chinese Medicine,
and Prof. Shi, Xuemin for his needling technique: Activating the Mind and Opening the Orifices (Xing Nao Kai Qiao).

Dr. Jianyi Hou is a licensed acupuncturist by the Texas Medical Board and nationally board-certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and biology from the University of California Santa Barbara and University of Houston Downtown, respectively. She holds master’s and doctorate degrees in acupuncture and Chinese medicine from the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, and has treated patients at Methodist Hospital since May 2017.

Oanhvu Nguyen (Viviene Nguyen) is a licensed acupuncturist under the Texas Medical Board since 2009. She is a national board-certified acupuncturist & herbalist under the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She completed her post-graduate clinical experience at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine located in Tianjin. Nguyen is dedicated to and passionate about bringing great healthcare to people in order to reduce pain or restore balance through her practice.

Dr. Sparkman received his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the American College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist in Texas. In 2001, he began the study of Acupuncture, Herbology, Tui Na, and Qi Gong in the Scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2004 Gregory began the study and practice of medical Qigong with emphasis in the area of Oncology. In 2014 he presented work on the efficacy of acupuncture in the treatment of pain at the World Federation of Acupuncture/Moxibustion Society, and he received his Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2018 with a women’s health specialization.

Xiaoying (Elizabeth) Yuan is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist certified by the Texas Medical Board and the Texas State Board of Acupuncture Examiners. She has a diploma in Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Ms. Yuan has been interested in integrated medicine focusing on women’s health, stress, pain management, and cosmetic acupuncture. She has been successfully treating pain (such as headache, knee pain, back pain, neck pain and heel pain etc.), She also had good results in treating infertility, facial paralysis and stress etc. She is not only a licensed acupuncturist but also a scientist, who can effectively bridge modern science and oriental medicine.

Dr. Tong Wang received her medicine degree in 1994, her M.S. degree in 2001 and a PhD. degree in 2004 from Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She specializes in acupuncture and moxibustion. As a researcher, Dr. Wang was the recipient of three important rewards in science and technology. The first prize was for progressive science and techniques from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The second prize was for progressive science and techniques from the City of Tianjin and the third prize for science and techniques from the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine. She also published 17 scientific research papers (two are in English) in the journals of Physiology & Behavior and Neuroscience Letters.

Dr. Zhong received his medicine degree from Luzhou medical College in 1983, a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in pediatrics in 1990 and a Ph.D. degree in internal medicine in 1997 at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sichuan, China. His training includes working extensively with herbal medicine in pediatrics for over 30 years and in internal medicine at the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Eric Grose is an NCCAOM board-certified, licensed acupuncturist, and herbalist in the state of Texas. He received his BS in Nutritional Science from the University of California-Berkeley and earned his Masters in Oriental Medicine and a Doctorate in Women’s Health from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has a specialty in infertility and women’s health and is board-certified in reproductive medicine by the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Grose’s special interests are in gynecological disorders and infertility, sports medicine, and pain management.
